The Last Trip Before Everything Changed
Do you remember how excited everyone was when 2020 started? We had just looked back at our past decade with delight over the memories we made and shock over how quickly it all went by, sharing our most embarrassing photos in the #10YearChallenge on social media and gearing up for the next "amazing" decade. We were going to crush this first year!
My year did indeed start pretty solid with an overseas work trip to Kuala Lumpur and a 10-day stop over in Bali on the way back, visiting friends who were living there at the time. Not long after returning to Sydney the world went upside down and a global pandemic changed our lives. Looking back at the photos, it all seems like a lifetime ago but it also serves as a reminder of how privileged we are and how much we should appreciate our freedom and opportunities we so often take for granted. Below are a few of my favourite photos of that trip.
